Spring Break

Just three more days until we can all turn on Spring Break mode. A couple things to note with the upcoming free time, be sure to get your financial aid done for next semester and don't forget to fill out the survey for summer class interest! GO TIGERS!!! - Ally

1 Win & 1 Loss

The Champion Tigers took down Philander Smith baseball 11-2 in Game 1 this past Friday. Brandon Boudreaux was a main component in Champion's win. "The pitcher went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out five." Jeffrey Miller came in to pitch one inning as relief, and "Miller drove in runs on a single in the first, a home-run in the third, and a single in the fifth." Game 2 proved to be quite the challenge for the Tigers, as they lost 13-4. A struggling offense was no match for the Panthers, but Tyler Parker and Jacob Kimball both managed multiple hits.

Lady Champions

This week the lady Tigers brought home ANOTHER National title! In game 1, the Tigers took Harrodsburg into overtime finishing the game 97-92. Tori Hayes had 33 points + Alysia Pickett had 23 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds. Kamryn Gentry had a double-double: 22 points, 26 rebounds. In the Semifinals, Champion was up against Pensacola Christian College and finished 90-60. Kam Gentry led with 20 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists, & 1 steal. Tori Hayes, Alysia Pickett, & Aaliyiah Clark had 17 points each. For the championship game, the Tigers matched up with Arlington for a 4th time this year and won the game, 78-73. Alysia Pickett led with 22 points and 4 assists. Kam Gentry had 15 points and 19 rebounds. Tori Hayes had 13 points, Justys Irish-Holmes had 11, and Aaliyiah Clark had 10.
