Champion Christian College is excited to welcome Dr. Vanedson Ximenes as the new Vice President of International Affairs. Since stepping into this role, Dr. Ximenes has already made a remarkable impact, helping Champion’s Dual Language program grow by hundreds of Portuguese-speaking students—a surge that reflects both his heart for ministry and his passion for Christian higher education.

At Champion, our mission is to develop Christ-centered servant leaders who will impact the world. The Dual Language Track is a strategic step in fulfilling that mission by providing Portuguese-speaking students with a clear path to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Christian ministry while strengthening their English skills. This track is not a separate program but an intentional bridge, allowing students to begin their studies in Portuguese and transition into English coursework as they are prepared. Through this model, Champion is equipping future leaders for both church ministry and broader service, while also providing academic support, advising, and the resources they need to thrive.

Originally from Brazil, Dr. Ximenes brings with him an extraordinary academic background and a wealth of leadership experience. He is married to Dr. Heidy Kiepper Ximenes, and together they have two daughters, Julia and Luiza. His dedication to both faith and education is evident in his achievements: he holds a Doctorate in Theology and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education. In addition, he has earned four Master’s Degrees—in Higher Education Management, Leadership Development, Education, and Marketing—and three Bachelor’s Degrees in Science, Christian Studies, and Theology.

Dr. Ximenes has served in many influential roles across education and ministry. In Brazil, he was President of the Brazilian Baptist Association of Theological Education Institutions (ABIBET), where he oversaw 49 colleges and seminaries. He also served as President of CETEBES – Espírito Santo Baptist Theological Seminary, and contributed to the Educational Committee of the Brazilian Baptist Convention. Internationally, he served as Associate Director of Admissions at Campbellsville University (USA).

In pastoral ministry, Dr. Ximenes has faithfully served in several prominent congregations, including the Primeira Igreja Batista de Vitória (ES), Primeira Igreja Batista da Praia da Costa, and Igreja Batista da Praia in Brazil, as well as Family Church in Orlando, USA.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ximenes has been recognized as an educational leader, institutional manager, and pastor. His unique ability to integrate education, leadership, and ministerial development makes him a valuable asset to Champion Christian College as we continue to expand our mission of providing Christ-centered higher education.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Ximenes and his family to the Champion community. We look forward to the many ways his leadership will bless our students and strengthen our college.
